Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and Museum

The Canadian Golf Hall of Fame is located on the grounds of Glen Abbey Golf Course, making it convenient to visit if you are coming to play or watch a tournament. The museum covers the history of the game in Canada from its earliest days — golf was played in Montreal in the 1870s, predating most American clubs — through to the modern era of Canadian professionals on the world tours.

Exhibits include historic clubs and equipment, memorabilia from major championships held in Canada, and profiles of the inductees who include players, builders, and administrators. It is a focused collection without being exhaustive, and works well as a companion to a round at Glen Abbey. Entry is free with a round or modest on its own.

A story
Among the inductees is Moe Norman, widely considered one of the greatest ball-strikers in the history of golf — a man who could hit the same shot repeatedly with mechanical precision, yet spent most of his career on the Canadian circuit because his unconventional mannerisms made American tour officials uneasy. Norman is barely known outside golf circles but is revered by those who watched him play.
