The easiest way to reach Oakville from Toronto is the GO Train on the Lakeshore West line, which runs frequently from Union Station and takes around 35 minutes to Oakville GO Station. Trains run roughly every 30 minutes during the day, with more frequent service during rush hours.
By car, Oakville is about 40 km southwest of downtown Toronto along the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way). The drive takes 30–50 minutes depending on traffic — the QEW corridor is one of the busiest highways in Canada and congestion can be severe at rush hour.
Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Mississauga is the main air gateway for the region, about 20 minutes by car from central Oakville.
