Point Edward is the small independent village wedged between Sarnia and the Blue Water Bridge, with a population of around 2,000. It has its own waterfront, a casino (the Point Edward Gaming Centre, which draws a steady crowd from across the border), and a clutch of restaurants concentrated near the bridge plaza.
The Bluewater Trail along the riverfront here gives one of the best vantages on the Blue Water Bridge and the constant procession of lake freighters heading up or down the St. Clair. A short, easy detour from central Sarnia.
