Scugog Shores Museum Village is a small open-air museum on Scugog Island, with restored local buildings, gardens, and exhibits on township life in the 19th century. It is modest, but it gives the rural history behind Port Perry's polished downtown.
Check opening days before going, especially outside summer. It is best as part of a loop around the lake rather than a stand-alone destination.
