Most visitors should begin in Port Perry Downtown, then walk down to Palmer Park and the Lake Scugog Waterfront. That gives the township its two strongest pleasures: a small heritage main street and open water.
If you have more time, cross to Scugog Island for Scugog Shores Museum Village, or head northwest to Nonquon Provincial Wildlife Area for a quieter walk through wetland and forest.
