The biggest of Thunder Bay's craft breweries, Sleeping Giant has a busy taproom on Hewitson Street with a rotating selection of its own beers — the Northern Logger lager is the flagship, the 360 Pale Ale is the local favourite, and the seasonal Beaver Duck IPA has near-cult status in northwestern Ontario.
Food is bar snacks and the occasional food truck. The taproom has a relaxed industrial vibe and is good for a long sit. Brewery tours can be arranged at quieter times. Cans are available for sale to take away.
