Getting There

Charlottetown sits near the geographical centre of Prince Edward Island, making it easy to reach from either entry point to the island.

By Air

Charlottetown Airport is just five minutes from the city centre. Air Canada and its regional carriers operate scheduled flights, mostly connecting through Halifax, Montreal, or Toronto. In summer, seasonal routes expand considerably.

By Road

From the mainland, you have two options. The Confederation Bridge connects to New Brunswick and is about an hour's drive to Charlottetown. From Nova Scotia, Northumberland Ferries runs a seasonal service to Wood Islands, also roughly an hour from the capital. The bridge is open year-round; the ferry runs from May to late December.
