The Quetachou Falls Trail starts off Route 138 east of Baie-Johan-Beetz and follows the Quetachou River through a fire-scarred forest. The walk is short, but the setting is unusual: blackened trunks, returning vegetation, river noise, and views of the falls and cascades.
It is a good stop on a long North Shore drive, especially because it gives you a real sense of the coast's harsher inland edge without needing a major hike.
