Parc des Chutes de la Petite Rivière Bostonnais is the easiest reason to stop in La Tuque. The river drops through a rocky gorge just outside town, with short trails, lookout points, and enough forest to make the place feel like the edge of the north rather than a municipal park.
It also works as a soft introduction to the Upper Saint-Maurice. Interpretation around the site covers local nature, fur-trade history, and the coureur des bois story.
