The Marais de la Riviere aux Cerises is a protected wetland on Magog's eastern edge, with boardwalks and trails crossing marsh, woods, and open water. It is the best low-key nature stop in town, especially for birds and for a quiet walk away from the busier lakefront.
The interpretation centre helps make sense of the wetland, but the main pleasure is simple: reeds, views toward Mont Orford, and the change in light over the marsh. It is close enough to town to reach without turning the day into a full hike.
