La Savoie is one of the better-regarded restaurants in the resort village, specialising in cheese fondue, raclette, and the other rich, warming dishes of the French alpine tradition that feel particularly appropriate in a ski resort. The restaurant doubles down on the mountain-lodge aesthetic — exposed beams, candles, wine by the carafe — and manages to carry it off without feeling forced.
The fondue is the thing to order: a proper Swiss-style pot with crusty bread for dipping, alongside a glass of dry white wine or a local craft beer. The raclette for two takes longer to arrive but rewards the wait. Book ahead for dinner during peak ski weeks; without a reservation in high season you'll likely be waiting at the bar.
