The Route de la Nouvelle-France follows the older settlement corridor east of Québec City. Around Saint-Joachim it is less about a single monument than about the landscape of old farms, church ground, river views, and the Côte-de-Beaupré villages that supplied early New France. It is best by car or bike, with short stops rather than one long visit.
