Les Palissades de Charlevoix is a mountain adventure site north of Saint-Simeon, built around a broad granite wall and the forested slopes below it. The draw is active rather than scenic from a distance: hiking trails, climbing routes, via ferrata, rappelling, and a zipline over the lake.
It is a good choice if you want a harder day outdoors than the usual shoreline viewpoints around Charlevoix. Book ahead for guided activities, and bring proper shoes; the site feels much more like a mountain outing than a roadside stop.
