The ferry between Rivière-du-Loup and Saint-Siméon is practical transport, but it is also a fine way to feel the width of the St. Lawrence. The crossing takes a little over an hour and links the south shore to Charlevoix.
Schedules are seasonal, with fewer sailings outside peak summer. Even if you are not crossing with a car, the ferry gives Saint-Siméon a sense of arrival that the road cannot quite match.
