Rue Blainville is the main commercial street, running east-west through the centre of town. It is the strip of cafés, bakeries, bistros, and small shops that gives Sainte-Thérèse its village feel and distinguishes it from the strip-mall sprawl of surrounding suburbs. The pedestrian-friendly section between boulevard Labelle and rue Turgeon is the part to walk.
There is no single must-see attraction on rue Blainville — the appeal is the texture. Stop for a coffee, browse a few storefronts, look at the old greystones, and you have the measure of the place. The town runs the Festival Multiculturel and a summer music series along this street; if you are passing through in June or July, check what is on.
