Jackson's Bight

Jackson's Bight is the wall stretch immediately east of Bloody Bay, continuing the same near-vertical drop into the Cayman Trench. The dive sites here — Jackson's Reef, Mixing Bowl, Eagle Ray Pass — are if anything richer than Bloody Bay in coral health and fish density, and the wall here has more swim-throughs and chimneys cut into the reef face that you can drop down through to emerge on the wall at depth.

The marine park designation extends through Jackson's Bight, so the reef is undamaged. Sightings of eagle rays are routine, which is how the Pass got its name; Nassau groupers congregate to spawn in winter; and the occasional whale shark has been seen at the wall edge in spring. Most Little Cayman dive lodges include the Jackson's Bight sites in their standard rotation.
