The marina is the centre of things: catamarans leave it for the Catalinas and the beaches north and south, and the smaller boats do snorkelling and fishing with fewer people aboard.
Diving here means the Catalinas, twenty minutes offshore, where manta and mobula rays pass between December and April. The bigger shark diving at the Bat Islands goes from Playas del Coco instead.
