Estadio Municipal Pérez Zeledón is the city's football ground and one of the few sights that reflects San Isidro's regional pride rather than its gateway function. Match days bring a burst of noise and colour to an otherwise workaday town.
It is not a reason to travel here by itself, but if there is a local match while you are in town, it can be a good window into everyday southern Costa Rican life.
