Playa Paraíso is Cayo Largo's other world-class beach, immediately adjacent to Playa Sirena on the southwest tip but with even fewer facilities — basically a long, empty stretch of white sand and turquoise water with a single shaded bar. The reef is closer to shore here, which makes the water slightly clearer and the swimming slightly cooler than at Sirena.
The name means "paradise beach," and the marketing is closer to honest than usual. You can walk between Paraíso and Sirena in 15 minutes along the sand. Bring shade and water; the sun on a windless afternoon is brutal.
