Viñales has a modest but reliable bar scene centred on the main square and the road through the village. The casa particular system means that many visitors eat and drink at their accommodation, but there are good options on the street. Rum is cheap and excellent; ask for Havana Club Añejo rather than the cheaper blends. The local bars that attract Cubans rather than tourists are easy to spot — they will have local music playing and not much English spoken.
