Viñales is about 40 minutes by car from Pinar del Río. From Havana there are two routes: the three-hour highway via Pinar del Río, or a longer scenic drive along the north coast that takes around six hours but passes through attractive countryside. Viazul runs daily buses from Havana's terminal at Nuevo Vedado; the journey takes around three and a half hours.
