The main attraction: Playa Boca Chica, a long curve of fine white sand inside a sheltering coral reef that keeps the water calm and shallow for several hundred metres. Great for small children, snorkelling around the reef, and floating with a rum punch from one of the beach bars. Weekends are crowded; mid-week mornings are the quietest time to visit.
