Air Greenland flies to Aasiaat Airport from other west Greenland towns, with connections varying by season. The airport is a short road trip from the centre.
The Arctic Umiaq Line coastal ferry also calls at Aasiaat on its route along Greenland's west coast. It is slower than flying, but it is often the more memorable way to arrive, especially in summer when the coast is visible for long hours.
