Pointe-à-Pitre is close to Guadeloupe's main airport at Le Raizet in Les Abymes, with taxis and buses linking the airport, city centre, and surrounding towns. It is also the main ferry hub for Marie-Galante, Les Saintes, La Désirade connections via Saint-François, and other island routes depending on season and operator.
If you are arriving by ferry, check which terminal your boat uses before assuming everything leaves from the same quay. Ferry offices, cruise traffic, and local buses are close enough to walk between, but the area is busy and signage can be inconsistent.
