Pavillon L'Herminier is a small but distinctive nineteenth-century building at the corner of Rue Sadi-Carnot and Rue Jean-Jaurès. Its iron-and-brick construction belongs to the same practical urban vocabulary as several of Pointe-à-Pitre's best surviving old buildings.
The pavilion was connected with the L'Herminier family and once housed agricultural and natural-history collections. Today it is more of an architectural stop than a full museum visit, but it adds a worthwhile layer to a walk through the old centre.
