Musgrave Market sits between Port Antonio Square and Main Square at the heart of town. It is a proper local market — fresh fruit and vegetables, spices, craft stalls, and a few small food stands — rather than a tourist bazaar. Saturday morning is the liveliest time, when farmers come in from the surrounding hills and the market fills with produce from the Blue Mountains hinterland.
The stalls sell jackfruit, soursop, breadfruit, yam, sweet potatoes, and seasonal fruits that are hard to find elsewhere. It is more relaxed and less aggressive than markets in Montego Bay, and a good place to pick up supplies for a picnic at one of the beaches. Entry is free.
