Parque Ecologico Taretan is a natural area on the north side of Atotonilco El Alto, with springs, streams, shallow pools, and small waterfalls in the forest. It is a local escape rather than a polished resort, with paved paths, picnic pavilions, a playground, changing rooms, and restrooms.
