Parroquia San Miguel Arcangel is the main church in Atotonilco El Alto, with an ornate facade, single bell tower, and a richly decorated interior. It gives the town centre its strongest landmark and is worth seeing even if tequila is the reason you came.
The church is also a useful starting point for a walk through the centre. From here, the town feels more like a working Los Altos community than a themed tequila stop.
