Parque El Salto is the reason General Zaragoza belongs on a travel map. The reserve lies a few kilometres south of town, where water from the Río Blanco and nearby springs runs through forest and drops over two waterfalls.
The headline fall is Velo de Novia, about 30 metres high. Come for the falls, but leave time for the trails, pools, and simple picnic areas; this is a day-out park, not just a photo stop.
