Kokoyome is a rougher, more remote outing southwest of Guachochi, where trails drop through canyon scenery toward water and rock pools. It is the kind of place that rewards a full day and good local advice rather than a rushed detour.
Check access before setting out, especially after rain. Roads and trail conditions change, and the value of the trip is being able to slow down once you get there.
