Lago de las Garzas is Guachochi's easiest green space, a small lake near the centre with a walking path and occasional boat rides. It is not grand, but it gives the town a pleasant focus and a soft landing before heading out to rougher canyon country.
The name matters here: Guachochi is commonly translated from Raramuri as place of herons. Look for the heron sculpture and use the path as a simple evening walk after a day on the road.
