The Guadalupe chapel is one of the oldest religious buildings in Huichapan, with origins usually placed in the sixteenth century. Its baroque facade, carved in pink stone, is the reason to seek it out.
It is close to the main parish, so pair the two rather than treating this as a separate expedition. Together they show why Huichapan's centre is more than a generic small-town plaza.
