Cascada El Salto is Mazamitla's standard nature walk, reached through the Los Cazos area southwest of town. The trail is manageable for most visitors, but the forest setting makes it feel like more than a token waterfall stop.
Go after recent rain if you can, and wear shoes that can handle mud. The falls are the headline, but the walk through the pines is half the appeal.
