Parroquia de San Cristobal is the visual anchor of Mazamitla's centre. It is not an old colonial church, but a distinctive mid-20th-century building with twin towers, stained glass, and a raised base that makes it stand apart from the cobbled streets around it.
The church works best as part of a slow loop around the plaza. Come in the late afternoon, when the centre fills and the white walls and red roofs start catching softer light.
