Playa Rinconcito is the small beach tucked into the eastern side of Mazunte's bay. It is the most convenient place for a swim, a seafood lunch, or a lazy hour under a palapa.
Conditions still deserve respect, as the Oaxacan Pacific can be rough even where the beach looks calm. For most visitors, Rinconcito is the practical beach: close to town, easy to revisit, and more social than the wilder sand west of Punta Cometa.
