Another former village absorbed by the city, neighbouring Coyoacán to the west. Cobbled streets climb past colonial mansions and the seventeenth-century Carmelite monastery. The big draw is Saturday's Bazar Sábado on Plaza San Jacinto, when the square fills with painters, craftspeople, and outdoor restaurants. The Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo — two linked modernist houses by Juan O'Gorman — is a short walk away.
