Morelos is the most accessible state from Mexico City. Comfortable first-class buses (Pullman de Morelos, OCC) depart from Terminal del Sur (Tasqueña) every fifteen to twenty minutes and reach Cuernavaca in about 75 minutes. Buses to Tepoztlán leave from the same terminal and take roughly 90 minutes.
By car, the quickest route from Mexico City is the toll motorway via Tres Marías; the old free road over the mountains through Tres Marías is slower but scenic. Driving time to Cuernavaca is around an hour in light traffic, more on Friday evenings when the city fills with weekend visitors from the capital.
There is no commercial airport in Morelos. The nearest international airport is Mexico City's Benito Juárez International Airport.
