Cerro de Santa Cruz rises above the reservoir west of town, marked by a large white cross that is lit at night. The climb is short but gives Pabellón de Hidalgo its best view: the lake below, the settlement beyond, and the dry Aguascalientes countryside around it.
In September, the hill becomes more than a viewpoint when a candlelight procession climbs to the cross.
