A traditional Mexican restaurant in Centro that has been a Vallarta favourite since 2003 for its strict focus on regional Mexican cooking — no fusion, no concessions to international palates. Slow-cooked pork pibil from the Yucatán, duck enchiladas with mole poblano, fresh fish in achiote, and an excellent margarita made with house-pressed lime juice and proper reposado tequila.
The dining room is open-air around a small interior courtyard, decorated with vintage Mexican advertising, religious art, and rustic furniture. Reservations recommended. Closed Tuesdays.
