Museo Leonora Carrington is one of San Luis Potosí's best cultural surprises. Dedicated to the British-born Mexican surrealist, it gathers sculpture, drawings, and related work in a setting that lets Carrington's dream logic feel playful, eerie, and very much alive.
The museum is worth seeking out even if you are not usually an art-museum traveller. Carrington's creatures, masks, and hybrid figures have a narrative pull, and the visit pairs well with the city's historic centre when you want something stranger than churches and plazas.
