Plaza Martin Bautista is one of the town's two central squares and the best place to take the measure of Santa Maria del Rio. The clock tower is decorated with rebozo patterns, which is exactly the sort of local pride this town does well.
Use the plaza as a pause between the museum, churches, and craft shops. It is not a major monument, but it gives the town its rhythm.
