Sierra de Organos is the big landscape near Sombrerete: a dry, open park where volcanic rock rises in organ-pipe columns, towers, and stacked shapes. The formations have made it a favourite film location, but it is also simply a good place to walk, climb around viewpoints, and see the Zacatecas high desert at its most dramatic.
