Museo Marino Comunitario is a small, old-fashioned museum about marine life from the Gulf of Mexico and the Tecolutla River. Expect aquariums, preserved specimens, fishing gear and local explanations rather than polished interpretation.
Its strangest exhibit is tied to the so-called Tecolutla Monster, the remains of a huge animal that washed ashore in 1969 and became part of local lore.
