Tecolutla's beach is broad, sandy and easy to use, with warm water most of the year and milder surf than many Mexican beaches. It is busiest during Easter, Christmas and local fishing events.
The beach is not glamorous, and that is part of the appeal. Umbrellas, seafood stalls and slow walks along the water are the main program.
