Tecomán is on Mexico's Pacific Highway 200 between Manzanillo and the Michoacán border, with road links north to Colima city. Buses run from Colima and Manzanillo to Tecomán's central bus station.
For the beaches and lagoons, a car or taxi is far easier than relying on local buses. Boca de Pascuales and Playa El Real are southwest of town; Tecuanillo and the inland lagoons require more deliberate planning.
