Chaltún Há is a quieter ruin on the edge of central Izamal. It is less imposing than the convent or Kinich Kakmó, but it rounds out the picture of a city built among ancient platforms rather than next to a single isolated site.
Make it a short walk if you have time and energy. The smaller ruins are part of Izamal's charm precisely because they sit in ordinary streets.
