When to Go

Anton Valley sits at 600 metres above sea level, which keeps it noticeably cooler than Panama City year-round — a relief in a country that can feel oppressively humid on the coast. The dry season runs from December to April, when clear skies make hiking conditions best and the roads up from the Pan-American Highway are straightforward. The wet season (May to November) brings heavy afternoon rain but also denser forest, more waterfalls, and the peak orchid bloom — if you want to see APROVACA's collection at its best, visit between June and August. The Sunday market runs year-round and is always worth visiting regardless of season.
