The restaurant on the third floor of the Miraflores Locks visitor centre is more than a convenience stop — large windows look directly onto the lock chamber, and on a busy day you eat lunch with container ships sliding past at eye level. The food is straightforward Panamanian and international dishes, priced at tourist-centre rates, but the view earns it a pass.
Open for lunch and dinner. Entry to the restaurant requires paying the visitor centre admission. Booking ahead is worth doing if you want a window table during peak hours, when ships are transiting steadily.
