Getting There

From Panama City, the Azuero Peninsula is about 250 km by road — the Carretera Nacional (Route 2) connects the capital to Chitré in around 3.5 to 4 hours. The road is paved and in reasonable condition for most of the route. Buses from Panama City's Albrook Terminal run regularly to Chitré (the commercial hub closest to Los Santos) and Las Tablas; the journey takes around 4 hours.

Doméstica airlines and Air Panama operate small aircraft between Panama City's Marcos A. Gelabert International Airport and the Alonso Valderrama Airport at Chitré. Flights take under an hour. From Chitré, Las Tablas is 30 minutes south and Pedasí is about 90 minutes further down the coast.
