Balneario de Rincón is the main public beach on the south side of town, a wide stretch of sand with calm water protected from the heavy Atlantic swells that characterise the northern beaches. The public balneario (beach facility) has changing rooms, lifeguards on weekends and holidays, and a parking area. The beach is popular with local families, particularly on weekends.
The water here is calmer than Domes or María's, making it better for swimming and for beginners who want to try body boarding. Snorkelling is reasonable along the rocky outcrops at either end. The beach runs south toward the town of Añasco.
